Noel Melendez had a stroke on October 27th. While in the hospital recovering from it, he got a life-threatening infection that required several surgeries. He’s currently in a rehab facility learning to walk again, and his insurance is going to stop paying for rehab on December 24th. It’ll cost $350 per day to keep him in the rehab, plus another $150 on days he gets physical therapy. His best chance for a full recovery is to stay in the rehab center for a few more weeks while his home is being prepared for his new needs. If we can make it a month, so much the better.
