For years, I dedicated myself to caring for my parents, making sure they had everything they needed—from daily essentials like food and medication to more complex medical care like managing my dad’s central line IV. I never imagined I’d find myself in a position where I needed help, but life can change in an instant.


Last year, while working, I suffered a serious injury to my left foot when a cheater bar rolled off a trailer and caused significant damage. Since May 23, 2024, I’ve been unable to work due to the pain. Workman’s Comp stopped paying benefits about 10 months ago, and I’ve used up my savings just trying to keep up with bills. I’ve applied for SSDI because of my foot injury, tremors, diabetes, and blood clots, but the approval process can take anywhere from 9 to 15 months. I’m currently in my fourth month of waiting, and the uncertainty is overwhelming.


The funds raised through this campaign will help me cover basic needs like food—not just for myself, but for others I know who are struggling too. They’ll also help me catch up on utility bills, pay for medical expenses and medications, and keep a roof over my head. The stress of not knowing what tomorrow will bring has been heavy, but I’m reaching out for help because I believe in the kindness of others.
