Support Noctem's Recovery and Bring Him Home

Noctem ran away a few weeks ago and was found by someone who thought he was a stray. About 2 weeks ago, he had to get emergency surgery to have his tail removed. He caught an infection and unfortunately, his tail couldn’t be saved. I unfortunately did not get to meet the person who found him. The rescuer was gone long before I arrived at the emergency pet hospital.

I have a lot of mixed feelings right now towards the person who found Noctem, mostly because of all the unanswered questions I have and the choices they made. Unfortunately, the emergency veterinary group had to keep Noctem with them until I am able to pay off the bill we got stuck with. The person who found him made decisions for us that we didn’t consent to and then left. The team here were made to believe that the rescuer was Noctem’s owner and were told that he was adopted instead of found in the streets. When they couldn’t locate or contact the rescuer after the consultation, they decided to scan for a chip and realized he was someone else’s cat. That is when I was contacted and told the situation. The rescuer had already signed all consent forms for the consultation and the surgery but snuck out before any payment was made.

I was able to pay a small portion of the bill so Noctem could get the surgery but I cannot pay it all off. Slowly, I’m trying to scrape any money I can find and earn to pay off the bill. Noctem is still with the emergency vet and with each day that passes, the bill increases more. I would like to get my baby boy home as soon as possible since he has been apart from us for a long while.
