Support Noah's Journey to Top Surgery

For those who have stumbled upon this randomly, my name is Noah and I am a transgender man (female to male) fundraising to get FTM top surgery.

The total for my surgery will be $12,100. My goal here is $8,600. Those who know me know that I struggle with asking for help, especially when it comes to finances. But I've come to accept that I need help. I have managed to save $1,500 and will be able to save $2,000 more over the next few months, but it's not enough. I wanted to be able to save up for this and pay for it on my own, but realistically in order to do that I would have to wait years before I can afford it, which would continually take a huge toll on my mental health. Every day having to live as a man with a female chest has become unbearable.

Having breasts causes me a great deal of dysphoria. I started wearing a binder over 7 years ago, and it immediately changed my life and made me more comfortable. However, binding can only do so much. It’s been a bandaid that just isn’t helping anymore.

I wear a binder for around 12 hours a day, sometimes longer. This is considered unsafe as it is recommended to wear a binder for no longer than 8 hours a day because doing so breaks down tissue and can cause breathing problems, back pain, and skin irritation. This is my only option as I need to wear it at work and anytime I leave the house.

For me, getting top surgery means that I will finally be at home in my body and have a better quality of life.
