Greetings and salutations, my name is Noah. I just entered my 30s (woo!), I'm a queer trans man living in Seattle. My time here has been completely life altering for an ongoing list of reasons, but even on my worst days I can't imagine being in any other city. The community I have finally started to settle into feels so much more like a home than I could have imagined, just the thought of possibly having to give that up (especially right now considering *gestures broadly*. Over the past 1.5 years I have bounced around from home to home, job to job and nothing was sticking. I got fired from my job of 3 years summer of 2024. Earlier this year (2025), I was able to take my next step with my medical transition by getting my hysterectomy (thank you WA state insurance), which put me out of work for a month. Shortly after I went back to work, I was a victim of violence - I had to take another week to two weeks off. Ever since all of this; I've had to take out loans and borrow chunks of money from friends and family to stay afloat. I'm so, so grateful to have had those hands to pull me out of the mud. I have since found a more stable and predictable job and living situation since then, but because of the existing expenses I'm still in the red a lot.

I have reached a point where I basically have no other option but to ask my community for assistance. I am about 6k in debt ($3500 for dental work, 3k from loans over the years that I took out for stability after inconsistent work). Cutting down some of these payments will not completely eliminate my financial stress, but would tremendously help with day to day expenses and making sure I'm paying my rent on time.

I have a lot of thoughts around having to do this and I'm incredibly uncomfortable making this - but that discomfort does not outweigh the amount of stress my financial situation continuously drags me through. My hopes for this is to collect enough money to pay off half of my dental debt and 1-2 months of my rent in full to allow me to stop living in such financial urgency while trying to just survive.

I appreciate all who share this, contribute to this and anyone in my day to day - you are all so willing to help out whenever I'm down or freaking out and I genuinely do not know where I'd be without all of you.
