Hello, my name is Noah Weller and I have been given a wonderful opportunity to advance my trumpet playing career with a trip to Europe with the Blue Lake International Exchange Program.
I began playing the trumpet in 6th grade. It was a Covid year, and I learned the basics of playing over Zoom. I quickly realized that I enjoyed playing and performing. Throughout middle school, I was privileged to have played for the MSBOA Middle School Honors Band, the DSO Honors Band, and attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
When I graduated to high school, I auditioned and was accepted into the Dakota High School Wind Ensemble. I have had the opportunity to play with the Bowling Green State Honors Band, Brass Band Ensemble, and performed with the Wind Ensemble at the Michigan Music Conference.
After this summer's week at Blue Lake camp, I was asked to apply for the Blue Lake International Exchange Program. I applied and interviewed, and was accepted for the 2025 Summer European Tour. I will be traveling for 5 weeks across Europe performing and experiencing music in a whole new way.
I am currently fundraising for this opportunity and would appreciate any monetary donations toward this experience. Thank you to everyone in advance for your love and support.
