Hello, my name is Noah Utterback. I am 16 and I live in Pleasanton, California, and attend Amador Valley High School. I am going into my junior year of high school, and I am a part of the Abbie-4H club. I have been in Abbie 4-H for about 4 years now and have really enjoyed my experience participating in the club and learning new skills that I will carry into my adulthood. For the past two years (2023-2025) I have been the treasurer of the club (managing the money), and starting next year, I am excited to be co-president of the club.
This is now my second year showing swine at the Alameda County Fair, and my third year showing animals overall. In 2022, I raised a goat and showed it at the fair. In 2024, I raised two market hogs and two turkeys and showed them at the fair. This year, I am raising two swine to show at the fair. Working with my market swine over the past 6 months was a great experience and a lot of hard work. I have been hand feeding my pigs Linders 685 and have been watching and maintaining their weight and health over these past months. I have invested more than $2500 in my project this year.
Raising farm animals was something I never saw myself doing until I heard about 4-H. I have a great passion for animals and would love to continue raising and caring for farm animals in my future.
I created this fundraiser as a way for my friends and family to support my project and help me raise money for next year. This will also make the Fair's "Add On" process easier. If you want to support me, you can donate here, or you can attend the Junior Livestock auction in person. This year, the auction is held on July 6th at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Thank you for your support!
