"Up Date" First let me say thank you so much to everyone who shared the post, prayed and donated!! I feel like I am watching It's a Wonderful Life where the town comes together to help George Bailey, except instead of dollars in a basket, it has been through a website, the kindness and generosity I have seen in the past 72 hours has given me great, great hope and joy in the world.
As far as Noah, so far everything has gone well and the surgery appears to have been a success with no adverse reactions! He is working with occupational therapy, and they are watching him closely to make sure there does not appear to be any swelling in the brain.
Keep praying for a quick and full recovery and thank you again to everyone!
This isn’t something I normally do, but sometimes life knocks people down when they least expect it — and expenses can make an already horrific experience even harder. My hope is to make things just a little less overwhelming for a family that means so much to me.
I’m setting this up for my dear friend and co-worker, Melissa (Missy) Schwarz. I’ve worked with Missy for over 12 years, and she truly makes my job a joy. I’ve said many times that I would be lost without her. She’s a ball of fire — hardworking, loving, smart, and generous.
Earlier this week, Missy’s 20-year-old son, Noah, suffered seizures after what seemed like a minor illness. Doctors discovered he had two brain bleeds, most likely caused by an AVM (arteriovenous malformation) — the same rare condition that Missy’s father battled, which led to serious health complications, including aneurysms and strokes.
Missy, her husband Jay, and their children Noah and Hailey are some of the hardest-working, most giving people I know. They would never ask for help themselves, but I will for them, because I know how overwhelming medical bills and recovery costs can be — especially when your only focus is your child’s health and healing. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses will be thousands, and Noah will be unable to work for an unknown amount of time.
I’m hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover medical expenses and support Noah while he recovers.
If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing this page to help ease some of the financial stress for this incredible family. Any amount helps, and every bit of support means the world. I can’t imagine facing this with one of my own boys, and I can only begin to understand the fear Missy must be feeling right now. This is one small way we can help make life a little easier for her and her family.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers for Noah. Any prayers, good thoughts, or positive energy you can send to the Schwarz family will be a blessing. ❤️
Update: Noah's surgery is set for 11/15/25, thank you so much for the support everyone has given, keep praying for the staff and surgeons to have a smooth, successful surgery for Noah with a quick and full recovery!
