Hi everyone,

This is Noah and Maddy and we writing this with a heavy heart and immense gratitude that we are both still here.

This past Thursday, Maddy and I were driving back to my apartment in Santa Barbara after a nice date. We were heading north on the U.S. 101, cruising at about 60 MPH, just talking and enjoying the ride.

Out of nowhere, a car going slammed into the back of our vehicle. The force of the crash ripped the wheel from my hands and sent us spinning across the freeway.

Maddy and I were both taken to the hospital. Maddy sustained minor bruising and aches, while I sustained neck and back injuries, but we are alive. While we were there, an officer came into our room to inform us that the man who hit us was driving under the influence. It’s still hard to process.

Maddy’s car was completely totaled. It was a car she had worked so hard to buy.
