Hello family, friends, and community,
My name is Tasha, and I’m a proud single mother to a brilliant and beautiful young woman named Niyah Ro’Yale. It’s with equal parts pride and vulnerability that I share her story with you today.
Niyah has been accepted to Albany State University in Albany, Georgia, where she’ll be pursuing her dream of becoming a social worker. Ever since she was a little girl, Niyah has had a heart for helping others. Whether it was standing up for a classmate or supporting a friend through hard times, she’s always carried herself with empathy, strength, and grace beyond her years.
As her mom, I’ve done everything in my power to prepare her for this moment; late nights, early mornings, sacrifices big and small. Like many single black mothers, I’ve held it down with love, prayer, and determination. But even with financial aid and scholarships, the cost of college is more than we can manage alone.
That’s why I’m reaching out for support. I’m asking for help to cover the gap in tuition, housing, books, and living expenses so Niyah can focus on her studies and not on the financial strain.
This isn’t just about a degree. It’s about breaking cycles, building generational wealth, and watching a young black woman rise into her purpose to help others do the same. I believe in my daughter with everything in me and I know she will go on to change lives.
If you can give, please know that every gift, big or small, matters. And if you’re not able to give financially, sharing this with your network would mean the world to us.
Thank you for believing in Niyah. Thank you for pouring into the future of a young woman determined to make a difference. With your support, her journey begins now.
With love and deep gratitude,
Tasha (Niyah’s Mom)
