Support Nismo's Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Our sweet boy, Nismo, has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. This is devastating to our little family — Mo is the glue that holds us together. Despite this diagnosis, he is still the same happy dog he has always been.
The cancer is concentrated in one of his front ankles and luckily has not spread. Therefore, we are moving forward with treatment. We will amputate his leg and follow this procedure with a series of chemotherapy appointments. This treatment will improve Mo’s quality of life (as bone cancer is quite painful) and ensure he can live his full life span. Thank you to the great staff at Colorado State University’s veterinary cancer center for giving us these options.
Unfortunately, these procedures are not cheap, and we will have to pay $9-12k out of pocket for treatment alone (not including travel costs or what’s been paid for diagnosis) which is obviously unexpected for us. That’s why we are asking for some help. We don’t want our big guy to be in pain, and he clearly has a lot of life left. He still wants to run and play just like he always has, and it is our obligation and privilege to allow him to go when he is actually ready, of old age, without pain and suffering.
Everyone thinks their dog is the best dog. But if you know Nismo, you know he is special. We would be extremely grateful for any help you can give as we navigate this difficult chapter.
