Helping "Ninja" Fight: Support for Life-Saving Rides

Hi friends, I am Kay Fleet's (AKA - Ninja) oldest granddaughter, Ashley. I'm writing this on behalf of our family for the strongest woman we know. We are asking for your help to remove a major barrier in her fight against a devastating diagnosis.

Meet Ninja: The Strongest Woman We Know

If you know our grandmother, you know why we call her Ninja. She’s always been the quiet, steady force in our family—the one who shows up, never complains, and handles any challenge life throws at her with resilience and grace. Now, at a time when she needs to focus all her incredible strength on her health, we need to show up for her.

Recently, Ninja was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The news has been devastating. This aggressive tumor has already caused damage, eating away at surrounding bone and some brain tissue.

The good news is that there is a path forward to help stabilize her condition and make her comfortable: intensive radiation therapy.

The Next 5 Weeks: A Race Against Time

Ninja needs to undergo daily radiation treatments for the next five weeks to slow the tumor's growth and shrink it as much as possible. This treatment is crucial for her comfort, quality of life, and giving us all more time with her.

The challenge isn’t the fight itself—Ninja is ready to battle. The challenge is the daily logistics.

Due to the nature of the treatment, Ninja cannot drive herself. Our family is stretched thin, facing obstacles that make providing daily transportation impossible:

Distance: Her daughter (my aunt) lives far away in California and cannot leave her own responsibilities to provide constant rides here in Texas.

Work: I have recently started a new job and cannot take the necessary time off to drive her daily.

Loss: Tragically, Ninja’s son—my amazing daddy—who would have immediately stepped in, is no longer with us.

We are left with a simple, yet critical, problem: How does Ninja get to and from her life-saving radiation appointments every day?

Our Goal: Five Weeks of Safe, Reliable Rides

We are asking for your help to cover the cost of reliable, safe transportation via services like Uber or specialized medical transport for her entire five-week course of radiation.

These funds will guarantee that Ninja can get to her treatments without stress or delay, allowing her to save her energy for the fight ahead. Every donation will go directly toward these rides, ensuring she never misses a crucial appointment.

The financial goal we set will cover:

25 Round Trips: Transportation for 5 days a week over 5 weeks.

Safety & Comfort: Using reliable services that can accommodate her needs post-treatment.
