Support Nina Davis' Fight Against Rare Cancer
Donation protected
Nina Davis started her life unfortunately having to spend most of her first 2 years in children's hospital with childhood cancer. She also has epilepsy, hypoglycemia, and lives with one kidney. Back in March, she started to get pain in her lower abdominal area. It turned out to be a mass the size of a softball. She was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Endometrial Stomal Sarcoma, which had spread to other lower organs. She had surgery, and the doctor said he got all he could see, but she has to go through chemotherapy.
Despite all of her disabilities, she has always tried to hold down a job. It was difficult for her because she would have epileptic seizures. Her recent job was as a teacher's assistant that she was so proud to get! She started getting pain and feeling sick during the day at work. She had to go to the ER, and that's when they found the mass. She was not at the job for one year, so she could not qualify for FMLA, and she needed more recovery time than she was allowed. Her employment insurance was dropped in the first week of May. She applied for alternative insurance but it does not go into effect until June. She cannot start any chemo treatments until the coverage starts. In the meantime, she has no income and she has medicines to get and personal care items that she medically needs, on top of her regular monthly bills. She lives with her father and its difficult for both. She lost her mother a little over one year ago from terminal cancer. She tries to be positive, but she is very scared. She has people that love her and do as much as they can to help, but if you could find it in your heart to help, it would be so appreciated. Anything to make things a little easier for her... Thank you and God Bless You.
