Support Nina through this fight against cancer!

For those of you who don’t know me, Nina is my stepmom. She is only 63 years old. Her husband Tim is my dad. They’ve been together for the last 15 years.

Nina was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer on Thursday (11/11) evening. They’re thinking it’s stage 4. The largest tumor found is the size of 2/3 a big Kleenex box; it’s huge. It’s in her lower back, into her tailbone, pushing on her left kidney causing inflammation, and wrapped into her spine. There has also been a spot found on her brain.

Her symptoms are debilitating- she can’t walk, is in constant excruciating pain when not on IV narcotic pain medication, the back of her legs are numb, and more.

The oncologist is fairly certain that the cancer may be in the spinal fluid, so she is going to have a brain MRI when her kidney function improves.

She had a biopsy taken of the mass today to determine what kind of cancer it is, and what the treatment options will be.

She is admitted in the hospital right now for pain management and testing. Her kids have flown down to FL to be by her side, as well as her sisters and her mother. I will be flying down in the next few weeks as well.

My dad & Nina, as well as our family, are all devastated. We are ready to stand behind Nina and fight this beast, as much as it takes. But, there’s a cost to all of it. Treatment isn’t cheap even with insurance, and medical devices possibly needed have a cost. Plus, any help to prepare easy meals & put gas into their tank would be more than appreciated as well.
