Our dear friends Nina and Omar are facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives, and their family needs the support of their community now more than ever.

Recently, Omar suffered a sudden and life-changing stroke that completely turned their world upside down. While everyone is incredibly grateful that he survived, the stroke has left him with serious physical mobility challenges.

Right now, Omar is unable to work and is focusing all of his energy on recovery and rehabilitation as he works toward regaining his strength and independence.

Anyone who knows Nina knows the kind of person she is. She is always the first to show up for others, offering kindness, encouragement, and support whenever someone needs it.

Now she is facing the unimaginable—caring for her husband through his recovery while also taking on the full responsibility of supporting their household and caring for their child.

The emotional weight of this experience has been incredibly heavy, and the financial strain has only made things more difficult. Bills, everyday household expenses, and the sudden loss of income have created an overwhelming situation for their family.

One of the biggest challenges they are facing right now is transportation. Omar is in acute Rehabilitation therapy in a hospital facility over an hour away from home.

Without a reliable vehicle, getting to him has become a constant and stressful obstacle. Omar will need regular visits to his Dr and appointments after he is discharged from the hospital.

This fundraiser has been created to help ease some of that burden. Donations will go towards transportation to Omar’s treatment appointments, and basic living expenses while he focuses on healing.

Nina has spent so much of her life lifting others up and helping those around her without hesitation. Now it’s our turn to show up for her and Omar during this incredibly difficult chapter.
