My name is Krishna, and we are a family of four from Columbus, Ohio - my husband Nimil and our two children, Hari and Hanika.
With deep sorrow, we share that Nimil passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 18, after spending a week in intensive care at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He fought bravely after suffering a cardiac arrest, followed by severe complications that affected multiple organs. Despite the efforts of the medical team, we lost him, leaving our family heartbroken.
Nimil was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a kind-hearted person who always put others before himself. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and supporting them in every step of their lives.
For our children - one in high school and the other in elementary school - this loss is life-changing. They have lost their father’s love, guidance, and everyday presence, and we are doing everything we can to give them stability during this difficult time.
This unexpected loss has brought not only deep emotional pain but also significant financial and life uncertainties.
We are now facing:
• Medical and hospital expenses
• Funeral and related costs
• Ongoing support for our children
• Daily living expenses
In addition, as Nimil was the primary visa holder, our family now faces uncertainty about our ability to continue living in the United States. We will need legal guidance, and this transition may involve significant expenses, including insurance, relocation, and maintaining stability for our children’s education.
We have created this GoFundMe to help support our family during this period of loss and transition, and to provide some stability for our children’s future.
How you can help:
- Donate – Any contribution will help ease the burden on our family.
- Share – Please share this with others who may be able to help.
- Keep us in your prayers – Your support means more than words can express.
We are taking one day at a time and doing our best to stay strong for our children. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, compassion, and support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Krishna & Family
