Welcome to our story. I'm Laura, Mom to Nikolas Kirk, who is in dire need of resources and kindness.

My sons and I own and operate a small farm in Custer, Michigan, and on Saturday, October 18, 2025, while helping with farm chores, Nik was in a horrific accident. He is currently in a Grand Rapids hospital, 2 hours from our home, with a neck fracture and multiple spinal fractures in his back. Nik has a long road to recovery and will be suffering a painful recovery while his body tries to recover and heal. Physical therapy, recovery from the physical and emotional trauma will all take time. Nik does not have health insurance and now will be unable to work for several months. He is in dire need to cover medical expenses, physical therapy costs, prescriptions, and still pay his personal bills.

Nik, at 22 years of age, works full-time as a meat cutter, assists on the farm, and is an avid outdoorsman. His passion is fishing and hunting. Being in the woods or on the water is his happy and peaceful place. He is strong, stubborn, and resilient, and he's determined to get back to his happy place.
