We never thought we'd find ourselves in a position to ask for help, but right now, Jordan and I are facing an incredibly difficult time, and we could really use your support. Jordan is currently deployed overseas and won't be back until the very end of this year, so I am taking care of everything at home while he does what is required for his job.

Our beloved dog, Nikko, has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and while we are doing everything we can to give him the best chance at a long and happy life, the financial burden is overwhelming. Nikko isn't just a pet—he's my heart dog. He's been by our side through life's ups and downs, offering unconditional love and comfort for the past 11 years. Now, it's our turn to fight for him.

While we are usually the ones offering a helping hand to others, we now find ourselves needing to ask for one. Nikko's medical care includes a CT scan that will cost anywhere from $2400 to $3100 and radiation therapy that is estimated to be $6100 to $6500. We are hoping to cover the cost of his CT scan out of pocket, but the total expenses are quickly adding up and becoming more than we can manage on our own. In addition, I will be driving Nikko back and forth to his oncologist in Leesburg, VA, which is nearly a two-hour drive each way. Because we have other dogs at home who also need care, I will be making these trips daily for two weeks, and travel expenses add up very quickly.

On top of the medical and travel costs, I am also taking time off work to ensure Nikko receives the care and attention he needs during his appointments, treatments, and rechecks.
