We’ve come together as Nikki’s family to help make one of her biggest wishes come true - a beautiful celebration of love and life. Nikki has always been the one holding us all together: a loving mum, the best little sister, a wonderful daughter, and the auntie everyone turns to. Now it’s our turn to give back to her.

Ten years ago, at just 30 years old, Nikki bravely fought breast cancer. With incredible strength, she went through chemotherapy and a mastectomy - and she beat it.

Her partner Ash was by her side then, just as he is now. They’ve shared so much love, laughter, and strength over the years. Ash supported her while she raised her two amazing sons - Jack, now at university, and Xander, who just finished college.

Sadly, in May 2024, we received the devastating news that Nikki’s cancer had returned. This time, it’s metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her brain, liver, lungs, and bones. Despite the diagnosis and all the uncertainty that came with it, Nikki’s spirit hasn’t changed. She still finds light in dark moments, still makes us laugh, and even joked after her diagnosis that it’s “lucky she got it, because none of us could deal with it.”

Nikki has undergone multiple treatments over the past year. At times, we saw some hope - some areas were responding. But her most recent scan showed growth in the brain. Doctors have said she may have 2–3 years, but anyone who knows Nikki knows she isn’t giving up. We’re waiting to hear about other treatment options - and in the meantime, she wants to make the most of every moment.

So now, more than anything, Nikki wants to marry the love of her life.

Ash proposed in 2021, and they’ve decided they won’t wait any longer. They want to celebrate their love surrounded by everyone who means the world to them. Not a big, fancy wedding - just a genuine, joyful, love-filled day that brings everyone together in honour of everything they’ve faced, everything they’ve overcome, and the life they continue to fight for.

We’re asking for your help to make this happen. Funds will go toward a simple wedding celebration - a venue, food, a dress, flowers, and all the things that bring warmth and meaning to a day like this. Anything extra will help with Nikki’s ongoing care and support for the boys.

This is more than a wedding. It’s a celebration of Nikki’s incredible life, her strength, her love, and the people who hold her close.
