Austin and his family's lives were instantly changed in early October when his daughter, Nikki, 17, was struck crossing the street in a hit and run. One careless person's choice led to two broken legs and a skull fracture, resulting in a long recovery while Nikki remains unresponsive to this day. Since October 6, Nikki has been in the hospital and will soon undergo surgery to repair her skull once her brain swelling is reduced.
Austin is the sole income for a family of seven. His family medical leave is depleted, and he has only a small PTO balance reserved for Nikki's upcoming surgery. The family is now facing the possibility of needing medical beds and preparing for the potential of a long-term or permanent injury. Everyday life has drastically changed for them, and the financial strain is growing as Austin tries to be there for his daughter and family.
Any donation, big or small, will help cover everyday expenses, medical costs, and allow Austin to remain available to put his family first with less financial stress or concern about work. Your support will make a real difference for Nikki and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
