On November 28th, my sister-in-law Nikki was admitted to the hospital after losing the ability to use her legs. She was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called CIDP. After 5 days of intense IV immunoglobulin treatment and lots of physical, speech, and occupational therapy, she was recently discharged from in-patient care.

As she starts outpatient therapy to continue gaining the ability to walk independently without a walker and regain fine motor skills, it will be important that she avoid stressors to reduce the risk of a flare-up. Unfortunately, with long hospital stays come added unexpected expenses. Please help donate if you can.
