My name is Nikki Larson, and I need a little help getting back on my feet.

In December, my daughter and I lost our home to foreclosure. We've been living in a hotel ever since. It's not ideal, but we've been making it work. I've been driving for DoorDash to cover the cost of the room and keep us going while I work on finding a more permanent solution.

Last week, my luck ran out. I hit a curb, bent my rim, and then my spare blew too. No car means no DoorDash. No DoorDash means no income. And right now, no income means no roof over my daughter's head.

I'm not looking for a handout. All I need is a hand up. I'm already working with the county to find longer-term housing assistance. I just need to get my vehicle repaired so I can get back to work and keep moving forward.
