Nicole Dupre Chase, known as Nikki, was first diagnosed in 2019 with extreme localized basal cell carcinoma. She received chemo, two surgeries, and radiation, and while doctors initially believed they had removed all the cancer, it returned in 2023—this time as metastatic. Since July 2023, Nikki has been receiving daily chemotherapy, and in the summer of 2024, she began immunotherapy. The tumor is now inoperable because it is deeply embedded and intertwined with the arteries in her neck. During this current battle, she underwent radiation five days a week for six weeks.
After being married for 23 years and raising six children as a stay-at-home mom, Nikki faced a divorce and worked hard to get back on her feet. Just as she was rebuilding her life, she was diagnosed for the first time in 2019. Since then, she has not been able to work due to ongoing treatments. While her current treatment has stabilized her disease, there is no end in sight, which means she cannot return to work or financially support herself or her family in the foreseeable future. While our family has been able to help, the financial toll is starting to become overwhelming.
The funds raised will help cover essential medical expenses, daily living costs, and make it possible to afford a car for traveling to and from her treatments. During her first round of cancer and treatments, Nikki’s car died, and we have not been able to fix it or get her another one because of the high cost of treatments and living expenses. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her life.
We have been working so hard to support and lift our mom, Nikki, up during this time. To have a little extra help from people who love her as much as we do would mean more than we could put into words. For most of her life, Nikki has taken care of and put everyone else’s needs in front of hers. Now it’s time we take care of her, and we are reaching out to our community for support. Your kindness and generosity will help us give back to someone who has always given so much to others.
