Supporting Nikka Through Brain Surgery

Hi, I’m Vivian. My sister Nikka is having brain surgery at the end of July to remove a tumor in her right temporal lobe.

Her medical is moving fast for neurological surgery. It’s serious, and it’s been affecting her for a long time. She found out about 3 weeks ago it was a tumor.

The symptoms started slowly years ago with vision changes, dizziness, nausea, and strange moments that felt off but were hard to explain. It got worse over time, and after pushing for answers, they finally found the cause. They found out it was a tumor and she is at the point where surgery is necessary.

This is a major step toward her getting her life back.

I’ll be traveling with her to Washington for a 10-day trip to help her through the operation and recovery. Her partner John will hopefully be able to be there for the surgery and then home taking care of the kids, keeping everything going while we’re away. We’re doing this as a family, but we can’t do all of it alone. The kids; Jonah, Bear, Ander, and Kay could use your love and support during this time too.

Nikka’s the kind of person who shows up for other people, even when she’s running on empty. Right now, I want to make sure she’s surrounded by that same kind of care.

This fundraiser will go toward travel, housing, recovery support, and whatever she and John need to get through the months ahead.
