Nikiyah has always been passionate about education, leadership, and giving back to her community. She has been accepted into an incredible study abroad opportunity in Japan that will help her grow academically, culturally, and professionally, as she works toward her dream career in education.
Throughout her high school and academic journey, Nikiyah has shown exceptional dedication and leadership. She has been actively involved in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for three years, where she served as a chapter president and competed at both the state and national levels. She is currently the Fresno City College Art Club President and hopes to one day become an FCCLA advisor to inspire future students.
In addition to FCCLA, Nikiyah has been a four-year competitor in Future Farmers of America (FFA), further showing her dedication to leadership, service, and personal growth. Her hard work in academics has also earned her Honor Roll status and recognition as a Family Consumer Science medalist.
Nikiyah is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Consumer Science, with long-term goals of becoming a Family Consumer Science teacher and potentially a Child Development professor. This study abroad experience in Japan will give her the opportunity to gain cultural awareness, educational insight, and global perspectives that will help shape her into a stronger educator and mentor for future generations.
We are raising $7,000 to help cover travel expenses, housing, educational program costs, meals, and other necessary expenses for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Any amount helps bring Nikiyah closer to achieving her goals and expanding her ability to positively impact students and communities in the future.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much. Thank you for supporting Nikiyah and investing in her journey toward becoming an inspiring educator and leader.
