Support Nikii Bachman's Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Community,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share that Nikii Bachman recently suffered a clotting stroke, affecting the right side of her brain and impacting her motor functions on the left side. This has led to physical and cognitive challenges, and we are grateful to report that Nikii still can walk and talk but she is currently undergoing occupational, physical, and speech therapy. She is now focused on recovery. Nikii is still adjusting to some of the cognitive effects of the stroke and is working through all of her emails and text messages from loved ones!
The first 90 days after a stroke are critical for recovery, requiring consistent rest and therapy to maximize the chance of a full recovery. While Nikii focuses on her healing, her daughter Savanah, son-in-law Collin, and brother Pete are stepping in to manage her home and business. As many of you know Savanah and Collin are parents to their new 5-month-old baby boy, Urban, a light of Nikii’s life!
Nikii has been a hairstylist in Salem for 40 years. Throughout her career, she has operated her businesses in many capacities but always put her clients first. From owning a multi-chair salon downtown to a single-chair salon out of her West Salem home. Nikii worked tirelessly to remain in business during COVID-19 and returned to work after beating two different bouts of cancer (2014 and 2023). We want to express our deep gratitude to Nikii’s wonderful clients for their patience and understanding as Savanah and Pete work on rescheduling appointments and managing communication. Your support during this time means the world to us.
We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden on Nikii during this crucial period. Your generous donations will assist with home care, and supplemental income due to her not being able to work at this time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and provide much-needed relief. If you are not in a position to financially contribute we would be so grateful for a repost to share this fundraiser with our community!
Thank you for your support and kindness.
With gratitude,
Libby Anderson
