Support Nigel & his family in his fight against brain cancer

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my wonderful brother, Nigel.

Nigel is 40 years old and, in March 2025, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Not only did Nigel have to come to terms with such a devastating diagnosis, but he also lost his independence due to frequent seizures, which left him unable to carry out everyday tasks, work, or drive. At that time, the tumour was considered low-grade, and treatment options were available.

In July 2025, Nigel began a gruelling course of both radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Throughout this journey, he remained positive and faced even the darkest of days with courage and bravery.

On Tuesday 14th April 2026, our world fell apart when we received the devastating news that a recent MRI scan showed definite progression of the tumour, and the treatment to date has not been successful. The tumour is now classified as a Grade 4 glioblastoma — a terminal brain cancer. Nigel has been told there are no further treatment options available to him, and he has been referred to the palliative care team.

Nigel is a devoted father and stepfather, a loving husband, a son, a brother, and a great friend to many. Due to his illness, he has been unable to work. This has not only been devastating for Nigel, who has worked hard his whole life to support his family, but has also added significant financial strain to a family trying to come to terms with such a diagnosis.

The hardest part of all this is knowing how much Nigel still has to live for.

There are milestones ahead that he deserves to see, time with his family he deserves to enjoy, and memories that have yet to be made. We are determined to help him fight for those.

As a family, we cannot accept that there are no further options available for Nigel at just 40 years old. He is not ready to give up, neither are we and we will be with him every step of the way on this journey.

We have begun tirelessly researching any options that may be available. After many phone calls and emails, a wonderful local lady reached out to us and opened some doors. Nigel is now currently under the care of a Specialist Doctor in London, who has discussed the option of advanced therapies abroad, such as debulking surgery and personalised immunotherapy. The focus in the coming weeks is on stabilisation and preparation to begin further treatment.

We are trying to raise funds to cover:
-Current treatment costs associated with stabilisation to prepare for further treatment.
-Treatment costs at overseas clinics.
-Travel and accommodation.
-Ongoing medical costs and follow-up care.
-Loss of income during this time.
-Creating special memories together as a family.

However, the costs associated with the above are overwhelming and far beyond what we as a family can manage on our own.

This is an incredibly difficult time for our family. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards helping Nigel focus on what matters most - fighting this diagnosis and spending more time with his loved ones.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
