What started as a sore throat turned into a life-changing diagnosis. My 42-year-old niece, a devoted mother, went to the doctor thinking she had tonsillitis. Instead, she was told she has acute myeloid leukemia (AML), an aggressive form of blood cancer that requires immediate, intensive treatment.

This diagnosis has completely shaken her world. She is one of the kindest, most easygoing people I know. She shows up quietly, loves without condition, and never asks for anything in return. Now, she’s facing the fight of her life.

She is currently undergoing treatment and will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. The physical, emotional, and financial toll on her and her family is enormous. Medical bills, medications, extensive hospital stays, and lost wages are adding up quickly.
