While visiting in California on Christmas Day, Skyler experienced a pregnancy emergency and had rushed to the hospital via ambulance. Within 24 hours, to save mama and baby’s lives, a c-section had to be performed at only 26 weeks gestation. While this is not the Christmas they expected to have, thankfully, Skyler and baby Henry are both doing well in recovery and the Neonatal ICU. However, there is a long road ahead. Born at a teeny tiny 2.27 lbs and 14 inches, baby Henry will have to stay here in the NICU in California for an estimated 3 months before he can be brought home to the east coast. Skyler and River will have to leave their lives, jobs, and family behind to be here to help Henry heal and grow. In liue of the baby shower they never got to have, we are graciously asking for donations to help cover a mountain of medical, housing, loss of wages, and other life expenses as they stay out here to fight for little Henry!
