My name is Nico, I’m 25 years old, and I’ve been out as trans for 11 years now.

I’ve wanted a flat chest for as long as I can remember, but fear, financial circumstances, and lack of access to gender affirming care have prevented me from seriously pursuing it.

However, I was recently diagnosed with arthritis and the pain from that condition has been making binding increasingly difficult. It is no longer safe for my physical health to bind.

I’m finally taking the leap to get my top surgery, but because of an insurance change, it is going to be a lot more expensive than I originally expected.
