Support Nicolette's Journey to Recovery

At the beginning of February, Nicolette was walking into our house and collapsed. At that point, she relayed that she could not feel her legs. They got an ambulance to the house and got her to the hospital where she went under extensive testing. Unfortunately, there's no distinct answer on what is causing the problem. As of this moment, she is going to physical therapy and they are going to begin doing new testing with her new neurologic team. She still requires a walker, cannot get up and down the steps, and for anything extended, she must be in a wheelchair. Anyone that knows Nicolette knows that if PT is going to fix this, she will go at it like no other. The issue is this is not going to be a quick fix.

Timing has become the biggest issue right now. She had just started her new job in January, so has no benefits and no ability to collect any kind of disability at the moment. We have been trying to keep her afloat as long as we could, but at this time, we're going to ask for help until she can find a job that she can either work from home for or that they can let her do the job based on what she can do right now.

She has co-pay medical bills, rent, food, utilities, car payments, student loans, and finally insurance. Stacie and I will be doing whatever we can to help her out with this, but at the same time, we can only do so much. If you feel like you can help and want to help, please do. If you cannot, we completely understand.

If you have any questions, reach out to myself, Stacie, or you can reach out to Nicolette. We are in uncharted territory here and we're just trying to stay sane, get this figured out, and get her going again.

For those of you that don’t know Nicolette. She was an extraordinary softball player all the way through college.  She’s extremely active and the new job. She was very excited about was a juvenile detention guard/sociologist. We have no doubt that she will work as hard as possible to get back to that.
