This fundraiser is for Nicole Jean Nelson's living expenses and bills while she recovers from 30+ years of untreated endometriosis and a full hysterectomy to remove it all. Her car is broken and her furnace is out and needs to be replaced for $5k. She is living in crisis mode and needs the support of her friends, family and the extended online community.

The healing process is unpredictable, and so far very difficult, due to the severity and length of the severe endometriosis. Nicole also has no thyroid due to Hashimoto's, as well as being AuDD - with everything all together at once now, post surgery, she is exhausted and broken.

There is no medical leave at Nicole's job from before the surgery, and support from that employer has been as minimal and basic, lacking as could be. This has been a central concern for Nicole now that we are learning the length of the healing process and seeing the limitations she will be dealing with for some time now.

Nicole needs to cover about $4000 of expenses for the 5 months since surgery and an additional month, at least - this fundraiser is the only way she will be able to save her house and property.

Nicole is applying for any and all assistance, but is finding the wait and turnover time far exceeds the urgency of her current disposition. Qualifying for assistance is something we feel may become an easier option in another year after some more recent medical records are recorded.

Nicole enjoys teaching dance and crafting, local music and outdoor adventures around the UP and Northern WI - all things we are hopeful Nicole will be able to do again in a season or two.
