Nicole’s Story
At just 28 years old, Nicole is facing a battle she never expected. She has been diagnosed with brain cancer (a Grade 2 astrocytoma) and is currently recovering from major brain surgery to remove a tumor. While doctors were able to remove the primary mass, her tumor is infiltrative, meaning it grows into surrounding brain tissue and requires ongoing care and monitoring over time. Nicole has been told she will be managing this diagnosis long term, with radiation and chemotherapy anticipated as part of her treatment plan.
Recovery and Ongoing Care
The surgery and tumor have affected the function of Nicole’s right arm and hand, making everyday tasks more challenging. Her recovery will require ongoing physical and occupational therapy to regain strength, coordination, and mobility. Healing from brain surgery takes time, and Nicole is focused on rebuilding her strength while preparing for the next phases of treatment.
Practical and Financial Support
As Nicole recovers and undergoes continued care, she faces significant medical, therapy, and everyday living expenses. Time away from work during recovery adds to this strain, and unfortunately, her insurance does not include short- or long-term disability coverage. We are asking for support to help cover medical expenses, therapy, time away from work, and the many unforeseen costs that come with a serious diagnosis.
How You Can Help
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps ease Nicole’s burden and allows her to focus fully on healing. Even a $20 donation will add up to help ease financial stress. Thank you for standing with Nicole and showing her support during this incredibly difficult time.
