**Fundraiser for My Mother's Care & Transport to Washington**

This fundraiser is to support my mother, Lori, who is battling stage four squamous cell carcinoma. Lori currently lives in Las Vegas with her nephew (my cousin), who is doing his best to help while balancing being a single parent and working full-time. Lori has exhausted chemotherapy and radiation treatments, the doctors feel they are doing more harm than good at this point. She now has a painful, cancerous wound on her backside that leaks continuously, making it difficult to travel anywhere by any means. She has recently started having at home care appointments.

Our goal is to bring Lori to Washington, where myself and her three grandchildren live. I am a single mother, working hard to support my family and assist my mom from afar. In order to provide her with the care she needs and get her into a facility where she has at least a fighting chance, we need to bring her here in a small RV. This will allow her to travel comfortably with her medical chair and have 24/7 access to the restroom, sink, and shower.

Your support will help cover the RV rental, travel costs (such as gas), medical supplies, weekly showers, and any miscellaneous medical needs not covered by her insurance until we are together under one roof. Once Lori arrives, I will provide full physical and financial support, but we desperately need help to ensure she is comfortable and cared for in the meantime.

Once in Washington, our goal is to get her into the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, one of the most renowned facilities in the U.S. A large portion of funds raised will also be used to help get her into this facility. Lori's situation is uncertain, and no matter the outcome, I want her to be surrounded by love, comfort, and the care of myself and her “babies”, grandsons.

Lori’s battle is tough. She is dealing with an ostomy surgery and a draining cancerous lesion, making life extremely uncomfortable. We are asking for help during this time so we can be together as a family and give Lori the best possible care and outcome.
