On May 22nd, Cape Cod experienced an unseasonable Nor'easter. Tragically, Nicole Cormier lost her beloved boat, "Merlin's Roost," in this storm. The vessel is now a total loss, along with her personal belongings and invaluable items that were swept away.

Nicole is known to all of us as a beacon of kindness and compassion. She is the first to lend a hand to anyone in need, always putting others before herself. Whether it's helping out a neighbor, supporting local artists, or hosting retreats for those seeking inspiration, Nicole has dedicated her life to enriching her community.

Nicole recently invested considerable time and resources into restoring her boat, bringing it to the mooring just weeks ago for what was supposed to be a successful season. The boat was more than just a getaway; it was Nicole's housing for the summer and an integral part of her business, where she hosted artists, retreats, and welcomed community members to experience the beauty of Cape Cod. With the season now upon us, the impact of this loss is profound. Nicole is facing not only the emotional loss, but also a significant financial burden as she works to replace her necessities, clothing, and the valuable items.
