Recently, my life changed in ways I never expected. I underwent open-heart surgery to repair a serious condition. While I’m incredibly grateful to be here and healing, recovery has not been easy—physically, emotionally, or financially.

Following surgery, my doctor advised that I not return to my previous hospital job due to the heavy lifting required. While I work toward transitioning into work that is safe for my health, I am now facing another unexpected challenge.

My ex has taken me back to court regarding custody, and I am required to secure legal representation to protect my rights and my children’s best interests. These attorney fees, combined with mounting medical bills, have created a financial strain I cannot manage alone during recovery.

I don’t ask for help lightly. I’m doing everything I can to move forward, heal, and remain strong for my children—but this season has required me to accept support.
