Stand With Nicole: Gamma Knife Fund

We are reaching out to support our dear friend Nicole and her family as she bravely battles Stage 4 cancer.

Nicole has been a cherished part of our lives for nearly 30 years, sharing countless memories from primary school, high school, living together, holidays, weddings, and raising children. She is a devoted mother to her 3-year-old daughter, Audrey, and a loving wife to her husband, Josh. As a dedicated teacher, Nicole has always gone above and beyond for her students, continuing to work even while undergoing regular chemotherapy treatments.

Nicole’s journey with cancer began years ago when she was diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer. After surgery and radiation, she was given the all-clear and maintained regular check-ups. However, early last year, severe pain led to an emergency room visit where she was diagnosed with cancerous lesions in her liver. Intensive chemotherapy and radiation followed, which severely weakened her immune system, resulting in a prolonged ICU stay due to pneumonia. Despite these challenges, Nicole’s strength saw her through, and she returned home to her family.

For a time, Nicole’s treatment seemed successful, and we celebrated as her cancer markers dropped and brain lesions decreased. Unfortunately, last week brought the devastating news of new lesions on her brain, necessitating Gamma Knife Radiation—a critical but costly procedure.

This GoFundMe page aims to alleviate the financial burden on Nicole’s family and support them through this incredibly challenging time. The mental and physical toll of raising a child and managing daily life while facing such a formidable battle is immense.
