My sister-in-law, Jenny Parnell, passed away unexpectedly on August 24th after a brief illness. She has left behind many grieving people that will forever be missing a piece of their heart. Jenny loved her life, her family, her animals, and my sister. After spending the last 14 years together, my sister, Nicole Sylvain, finds herself in an unimaginable situation. She has not only lost her partner in life, but she has lost the stability that Jenny provided. My sister lives with a chronic illness, and her health insurance was provided by Jenny’s employer. Her rent and other monthly bills are astronomical in Florida. In addition to grieving and having to learn how to navigate life without Jenny, she will have serious financial hurdles moving forward. During difficult times like this, we rely on our community for comfort and support. My sister has received such an outpouring of support, and people want to know how they can help. I’m asking for donations to help offset the financial difficulties, to allow Nic to grieve without having to worry about the cost of living.
