Support Nicole & Stefan Alexcee of Newton Surrey,

Our close friends & family Stefan (of Terrace) and his wife Nicole Alexcee (maiden name Williams) of Lil’wat, MtCurrie had a devastating fire in their complex in Surrey (Newton) on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, around 6 pm. 

The raging fire apparently started on the second floor and went up to their 3rd floor.  There are 81 units in the building, every unit has been damaged (if not by fire, then by excessive water pressure & smoke).  Furthermore, Nicole and Stefan are still waiting for information on what their insurance will cover. 

It’s been breaking news and described as a huge, stubborn fire, that has been difficult to put out. 33 Firefighters struggled with the fire for 24 hours. 

These funds will assist with any necessary and unexpected costs, fees, replacements, etc, over the next immediate months —until their beautiful condo is rebuilt.  

Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts as this very hard working couple recovers and work to rebuild their lives back together. We are all grateful they survived. Our Ancestors are certainly guiding them.

(This is the latest update from Nicole and Stefan: 

We thought our car (Camaro convertible) would be safe since it is in the underground parking; but we are told there is 3 feet of water in the massive parkade.  It will be 10 to 14 days before we can access our suite (for a few minutes) to collect any valuables & hopefully any momentums that may be salvageable. 

Since the whole building has been affected, it will take at least 18 to 24 months before we can move back in

Unfortunately, during this time, we will still be required to pay the  mortgage and strata fees while we live elsewhere.  

We are in discussions with our insurance adjusters and community resources. 

Emergency Social Services has  provided us with vouchers for clothing and incidentals ($200 each). We were provided with 2 nights accommodation, but we have chosen to briefly stay with family at this time.  

Both of our hearts are broken. We are really hoping and praying that our two cats are found  ❤ That would bring us some comfort during this tragic fire— which will likely be a total loss. Thank you all for your support and prayers. Nicole and Stefan Alexcee, Surrey, BC.
