On January 25th, Luna, the sweetest dog in the world, was viciously attacked by two loose dogs in our neighborhood while Josh was walking her on a leash. She and Josh bravely fought back, and Luna has received excellent vet care and is healing great!

Even though it was a very scary and violent attack, our amazing neighbor, Nicole, jumped in and ran to Luna's rescue! Sadly, both of her hands were badly bitten during the attack, and she was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

Because of her kindness and courage in helping Luna, Nicole is unable to return to her work as a forklift operator for a medical supply company to support her family while she heals and recuperates. She is out of work for at least 3 weeks to recover and seek ongoing medical care for her injuries.

Despite the pain and uncertainty, Nicole says she would do it again in a heartbeat to protect sweet Luna. She has young children and is expecting another in a few months! She is truly a Super-Mom and Super-Neighbor!
