Support Nicole in Her Time of Need

Hello my name is Nicole I am going be homeless . I am two months behind on my rent because my hours have been cut back to less than 20 hrs a week. And I am going to be evicted out of my room any day now I have gone to welfare for temporary help and I was turned away but when I was waiting there were 100 people around me who didn’t speak English and were moved to the front of the line. And I don’t know if it’s because I am a white woman or not but I feel like that’s the case. While riding on a subway train I sat down next to a gentleman with a veterans hat on and out of clear blue sky he asked me why I was wearing tennis shoes in snowy weather and why I did not have a winter coat then I started to tell him my story about my welfare experience . And he told me that I should start a go fund me account . And as I arrived at my stop he handed me 45.00 and told me to get some boots not knowing that I had no food at home.
