Support Nicole in Dad Rick's Recovery

My name is Michelle and one of my best friends is Nicole Washer-Beebe, whom I'm sure many of you know. Last Wednesday, Nicole's dad, Rick Washer, had a massive stroke that left him completely paralyzed on the left side. Rick was sent to Upstate from Samaritan once they realized the severity of his stroke, and he's been there since. He has undergone several tests to see what needs to be done. As of now, they cannot do surgery. They are going to regulate him with medicine to control his blood pressure, which they hope helps.

Rick will be returning back up to this area to an inpatient rehabilitation to hopefully regain use of his arm and leg. However, his insurance isn't covering things like the transport here among other things. Nicole needs our help. If we could come together, she's a mom of 4 children and a wife. She works long hours, 2 of her kids are in sports all summer, and she will need to go back and forth to where her dad will be. Her husband Chris is a correction officer. He's been home these last few days to be there for Nicole and the kids but has to return back to work so it's just her a lot of the time and it's a lot to take on by yourself. She will also have to be his caretaker at some point.

She will need help with gas, medical expenses among other stuff. This will help her to be less stressed as she has a lot on her plate being Rick's only child. Anything helps.
