Hi, my name is Becky Folta-May, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Nicole Findeisen and her husband Brian.
On January 22, 2026, Brian was rushed to the hospital and has remained in the ICU, where he has undergone four surgeries and continues to require an extended stay in intensive care. He is facing a long and difficult recovery, which currently includes the use of a feeding tube as part of his ongoing treatment. This has been sudden, frightening, and overwhelming for Nicole and their family.
Like many small farmers, Nicole and Brian do not have health insurance. They have always worked hard, lived modestly, and handled life’s challenges on their own. Asking for help does not come easily—but the reality is that multiple surgeries, prolonged ICU care, medications, and a lengthy recovery are creating medical bills far beyond what one family can manage alone.
Farming isn’t just their livelihood—it’s who they are. Brian will be unable to work for at least six weeks once he is discharged, and his recovery may extend well beyond that. During this time, the farm must still run. Animals still need care, utilities still need to be paid, and basic household expenses do not stop during a medical crisis.
Funds raised through this GoFundMe will help with:
• ICU and hospital bills related to multiple surgeries
• Medications, feeding supplies, and ongoing medical care
• Essential farm expenses while Brian is unable to work
• Basic living expenses while the family focuses on recovery
Any amount truly helps. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page—it means more than you know. Our family is incredibly grateful for the kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

We want to share more clearly what led to Brian’s current medical crisis.
Brian suffered a fall on the farm, and during the incident, he was trampled by sheep and goats, sustaining significant trauma to his abdomen. What no one could have known at the time was that this severe impact triggered an underlying, previously undiagnosed condition. What began as a farm accident quickly escalated into a life-threatening emergency.
Since then, Brian has undergone multiple surgeries and remains in a prolonged ICU stay. His recovery will be a long and difficult journey, but we are deeply grateful for the medical team caring for him and for the incredible outpouring of prayers, messages, and support from this community.
