Support Nicole Bergstresser's Heart Transplant Journey

The story isn’t about myself but rather on behalf of my sister Nicole “Nikki”Bergstresser. For those that have known her, she is the most loving and caring person in the world with the biggest heart that anyone could imagine. Unfortunately, because her heart is so loving she has had to undergo multiple heart surgeries stemming from the age of 13 to replace her heart valve. Last week, on April 5th, she had her third heart surgery to replace her valve but was met with rare complications. As a result, she needed to undergo the procedure multiple times and eventually it was deemed necessary to put her on the list for a heart transplant. She is currently in the ICU and on an ECMO machine to assist her heart in pumping while we await her transplant.

As one can imagine, the medical costs will be significant not only now but on her road to recovery. My sister has always been one to give what little money she has to help others before herself. Our hope is to return the care that she has shown others to allow her to heal and regain strength. All Nikki has ever wanted to do is help others and hopefully we can help her get back on her feet, doing what she loves. Any help is appreciated for her recovery journey as we look to fund costs for the procedures, hospital stays, and then services needed for her recovery.
