Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am fundraising for my sister Nicole. Nicole 34, was diagnosed with Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma after having spent 2021 New Years Eve in Sunnybrook Hospital.

 

Nicole is a kind and hardworking young woman who always aims to find the best in others. She has worked in the not-for-profit sector since 2014, helping people who have been previously incarcerated to reintegrate back into the community. Prior to the pandemic, she would often be found spending her time running workshops and participating in anti-violence initiatives with youth in various communities around the GTA. She takes pride in her work and it is her mission to inspire young people to set new paths for themselves.

 

Nicole loves spending time in nature, and is family-oriented, preferring to spend much of her free time with her sisters. She also loves music, dancing, watching sci-fi movies and reading a good book (feel free to leave a recommendation below).

 

This is her current situation:

 

There is a large mediastinal mass in her chest and another mass in her neck that is compressing her trachea, which affects her breathing. As she seeks treatment, Nicole will have minimal capacity to work for the next several months due to the severity of her symptoms. As a result she needs help to cover her bills, rent, and medical expenses that are starting to pile up.

 

We have started this Go Fund Me because it is our family's hope to help make this inevitable journey as stress-free as possible for Nicole, as she attempts to make her recovery over the next several months.
