My name is Nicole Jones and I’m a first grade teacher at Pearl Lower Elementary. My husband’s name is Ellis Jones and he is a wastewater operator in Richland, Ms. We have been married 10 years and have been together for 16 years. My husband and I first became pregnant in late January 2015. A few weeks later we found out that our pregnancy was an ectopic, and I had to have emergency surgery to have it removed. I also lost my right Fallopian tube. The loss was a pain we will never forget, but we decided to try again months later. After taking different medicines trying to get pregnant again because of my PCOS, we were successful in getting pregnant in May 2016. We were so excited and just knew it was going to take. Sadly, in June we found out that was also an ectopic pregnancy. I was given methotrexate that time to keep from having another surgery. Since then, we have been praying on what our next option would be. We went to a specialist in 2019 and had a HSG done, and found out that my remaining tube was blocked. Again, heart broken we continued to pray and ask for guidance. In January 2021, we talked to my OBGYN and decided IVF was our best option. He referred us to Women’s Specialty Care. I had blood work done to find out that I have a great egg count, and my thyroid is good. We tried to raise money before and just couldn’t raise enough money for IVF, and so we stopped and have been praying for guidance. I was told about a new female fertility doctor and I went in this morning (December 30th) to discuss our options and was told about a new process that is like IVF, but cheaper. It’s called INVOcell. Instead of incubating in a lab, it is done inside my uterus. We are now starting to fundraise to try to raise the funds to continue the process. We can’t go any further in the process until then.
