Support Nicola's Journey to Permaculture IPC
Donation protected
Nicola Shirley-Phillips has been a cornerstone in Jamaica’s permaculture and sustainability movement for over 17 years, dedicating her life to teaching and hosting courses that empower local communities. Her work in Jamaica, particularly in St. Thomas and other rural areas, has brought sustainable farming, environmental stewardship, and community resilience to countless individuals and families, many of whom now have the skills and knowledge to thrive sustainably.
The International Permaculture Convergence (IPC) in Taiwan presents a unique opportunity for Nicola to expand her expertise and network with global leaders in permaculture, bringing back valuable insights and new techniques to her community in Jamaica. Although she has been awarded a scholarship for conference attendance, the costs of travel and lodging remain a barrier. By supporting Nicola’s journey to Taiwan, donors are investing not only in her professional growth but in the future of permaculture in Jamaica. Her expanded knowledge and international connections will directly benefit her students and colleagues, helping to further the work of sustainable development in Jamaica and beyond.
