Our vibrant, spirited, and endlessly fun friend, Nicola Hill, experienced a major stroke in her sleep on the night of June 16th. After a brief hospital stay, she was able to return home, but her journey is far from over.

The stroke most affected her speech, and while she’s already shown incredible determination and progress, she’s still working tirelessly every single day to regain her full strength. The road ahead will require patience, persistence, and a lot of hard work.

Nicola will be taking the next few months away from her beloved job at Oso Grande to focus entirely on speech therapy and recovery. We all can’t wait for the day she’s back at work, lighting up the room with her humor, warmth, and energy.

We’ve started this fundraiser to help ease the financial strain during her recovery — and because we know how many of you love Nikki and would want the chance to show your support. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference in helping her heal without the added stress of financial worries.

If you’re unable to contribute financially, we’d still love for you to be part of her journey. A box will be placed in the front office where you can drop off words of wisdom, messages of encouragement, or pictures. These will be regularly delivered to Nicola to lift her spirits and remind her how much she’s loved.
