I’m doing this for someone who once did this for me.


My partner, Nico Lang has devoted his adult life to writing about and advancing the rights of LGBTQ+ people around the world.


As many know, Nico lost his job when Grindr shuttered its magazine INTO in January of this year. It was the job we moved to California for. At the same time, our roommate abruptly left, owing Nico $3,000 in back rent that Nico in good faith spotted him eventually depleting his bank account.


Nico has been diligently freelancing, but freelance checks can take up to three months to arrive. He is in a tough financial position and is without money to meet basic expenses and to continue doing the deeply impactful reporting that our community has come to rely on.
