My name is Kaitlin Lynch, and I am friends with Theresa and PJ. On January 17th, their lives changed forever when their son, Nicky, was diagnosed with B-ALL Leukemia. It all started with leg pain that progressively got worse. After multiple Urgent Care visits, Theresa scheduled an appointment with Nicky's pediatrician. That Saturday morning, the doctor called with the bloodwork results which came back abnormal and told Theresa to take Nicky down to CHOP. The hospital ordered additional lab work, and within a few hours Nicky was admitted and diagnosed with cancer. After many transfusions, Nicky had surgery on Sunday to have a port placed and he started chemo on Monday. Nicky was finally discharged after 11 days in the hospital. Unfortunately, 6 days later, Nicky was admitted back into the hospital after coming down with a fever. They are looking at another extended stay for at least 2 weeks depending on labs, fevers, and his levels.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help Theresa and PJ with their bills while they are focusing on getting the best care for Nicky possible. Also, Theresa will be out of work while Nicky is in-patient at CHOP so she will not be receiving a paycheck making it harder to support their other children at home. If you are able to donate during this difficult time, it would mean everything. Even if you are not able to donate, sharing this would make a huge difference.
